This Privacy Policy explains how Reskill Americans (“RA”," “we” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you access or use our websites, collaboration tools, learning-management systems, and other online products and services, for example, our courses, training, skilling, internships, or job placement support, including those of our vendors (collectively, the “RA Service(s)” or the “Service(s)”), or when you otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the version designation above and posting the new version on our website.

Your use of the RA Services is also governed by our Terms of Service.

RA is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. By accessing or using the Services or otherwise providing information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries.  

If you are in the European Economic Area, RA is the data controller of all personal information.

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you: create an account; use any RA Service; participate in our courses, projects, internships, or other educational offerings; contact our staff; respond to questionnaires; or otherwise interact with us. The types of information we may collect directly from you vary depending on the RA Service you use, but can include your name, username, profile images, email address, phone number, postal address, state of residence, US work-authorization status, racial identity, age, employment status, links to your coding-related and social media accounts, and answers to survey questions (such as how you heard about us). We also may collect posts, messages, files, assignments, and other information you submit to us or to others in connection with the Services.

We collect information that we create about you and your use of RA Services, including grades or level of progress relating to your performance on our assignments and other evaluations of your academic performance and your suitability for employment, projects, and internships.

RA takes reasonable measures to help protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. 

9. Updating or Deleting Your Personal Data 

You can access your personal information and confirm that it remains correct and up-to-date, choose whether or not you wish to receive material from us, and request that we delete or provide you with a copy of your personal data by sending an email to info@reskillamericans.org .

European Privacy Rights. If you reside or are located in the EEA or other region that offers similar protections, you have the right to request that we provide access to any personal information we hold about you, prevent the processing of your personal information for direct- marketing purposes, update any personal information that is out of date or incorrect, delete any personal information that we are holding about you, restrict the way that we process your personal information, provide your personal information to a third party provider of services, and provide you with a copy of any personal information that we hold about you. However, in accordance with our Terms of Service, RA Services are available only to adult individuals legally residing within the U.S. (which includes it territories).

For California Residents Only. RA may disclose your personal information to our vendors, social benefit partners or sponsors, or other third parties who may use that information to market directly to you. As a California resident, you have the right to opt-out of having your personal information licensed to such third parties. We will not share your information after we have received your notification that you are opting out. If you wish to opt-out you must send us an email to info@reskillamericans.org .
